Back to School Giveaway!

While you’re prepping for your first day/week/month back, here are some tools that you may find helpful:

First is my “Kick Off a Great Year in Speech”.

It’s a fun little booklet your students can color or write in so you can get to know them, they can get to know you, and they learn why they’re coming to Speech.

It’s also a great tool to communicate with teachers and parents about when and why students come to your room.  Find “Kick Off a Great Year in Speech” here.

I also have this handy tool that I use all the time, not just during back to school!  Although, it is used most often for those screenings most people have to conduct for Kindergarteners or those new to the school.

It includes many different areas of speech and language, including articulation, semantics (basic concepts, categories, sequencing, comparing, contrasting, and object functions), and grammar (helping verbs, past and present verb tenses, pronouns, and regular and irregular plurals).

There are scoring sheets to easily keep track of students’ responses.

And the best part – it’s black ink only!  You might find it helpful to print one copy of the stimulus pages and laminate them.  Then just reprint scoring sheets as you need them. Find “Back to School Speech and Language Screener” here.
