For the past week I have been using the book “Snowmen at Night” in therapy with my preschoolers. It is a simple story that has funny, engaging pictures.  It’s great for winter vocabulary and “what doing” questions.

IMG_4746I always like having an activity to send home to parents to showcase what we’ve done in therapy and have something tangible to use for carryover. That’s why I made this black-ink only story map. I use it for sequencing, receptive identification, pronouns, sentence formulation, answering “what doing” questions, and following directions.  So. Many. Goals!

Snowmen at Night.001

When doing this book, I always use my “Miracle Melting Snowman”.

We assemble the snowman first, read the book, then look at how our snowman is all crooked and melted, just like the ones in the book!

Enjoy!
